These annual Oak Creek Canyon History Tours are led by Paul Thompson, grandson of pioneer homesteader Jim Thompson, the Sedona area’s first permanent Anglo settler who arrived in 1876. Tour in a small luxury coach while Paul explains 20+ homesteads, squatters sites, and historic locations including stops at Bear Howard’s cabin, Purtymun’s Cave Springs kitchen, and the Thompson springhouse, among others.
