Inexpensive Ways to Go Green

Fri, Apr 10th 2020 5:26 pm by Wally Reule Miscellaneous

As you may know, Make Sedona My Home is committed to following environmentally practices. I found this guide below to be a very valuable and practical resource.

The human impact on our planet has become real, prompting us to change our ways; otherwise, we face both unintended and potentially permanent consequences. Unfortunately, many people find going green quite expensive, making it harder for them to make the leap. But really, adopting a green lifestyle doesn't have to drain your wallet. Coupon Chief's Ultimate Guide to Cheap Green Living will show you how. To learn more, visit https://www.couponchief.com/guides/guide_to_cheap_green_living

Ways to Have a Positive Impact on your Community

Mon, Apr 6th 2020 6:10 pm by Wally Reule Miscellaneous

Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty came up with these suggestions, and I think they're worth passing on for your contemplation. They suggest five things that will make a difference during these trying times. I will post the first one today, and others over the next few days to give time for consideration.

Let's be Like Isaac Newton

Thu, Mar 19th 2020 7:10 pm by Wally Reule Miscellaneous

Somebody sent this to us, and I don't know if it's true. I do know that I'm not as smart as Isaac Newton, but I think there is a lesson here about how we can use our socially distant time productively

Our St Patrick's Day Parade has become the latest casualty of the coronavirus pandemic. Perhaps we can take solace in the fact that parade day will be raining and dreary. Fortunately, there have not yet been any confirmed cases among the local residents.

Fri, Mar 6th 2020 12:57 pm by Wally Reule Sedona Real Estate Market News

The Make Sedona My Home team has received special recognition for being in the top 10% of all Premier Agents in Zillow. This is a high honor because only a small percentage of agents have earned the Premier designation, and we are at the top of that list. But more important is the fact that it is a further validation of our commitment to provide excellent service to our clients.

Sat, Feb 22nd 2020 3:47 pm by Wally Reule Events

The barbershop harmony group that I sing with is hosting a guest event on Saturday, February 29 at the Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona. Enjoy some great music, find out how easy it can be to sing in four part harmony, and top it off with some cookies or brownies. How can it get any better than that? For more information, call Wally (the guy in the front on the left below) at 928-301-5943

Another Glowing Testimonial for Jan

Wed, Aug 7th 2019 11:59 am by Wally Reule Miscellaneous

I've said it before, and it remains true. We take great pride in providing a very high level of service to our clients, and below is another testimonial that a client posted on Zillow.

My husband and I picked Jan to be our realtor when we decided to buy in Sedona after reading all of the 5-star reviews her clients had left for her. So many people could not have been wrong! Let's just say that if I could leave her more than 5-stars on all of the points listed above, I would. She is knowledgeable, smart and efficient and a great negotiator. Most importantly, however, she is very willing to go the extra mile even after the deal is done. Even now, more than a month after moving into our new ...

Russ Lyon Sotheby's Agents Helping Kids Go Back to School

Fri, Aug 2nd 2019 1:20 pm by Wally Reule Events

One of the great things about working with the Russ Lyon team is the commitment to giving time and other support back to the community. The company coordinates these efforts through the Russ Lyon Charitable Foundation, and I am proud to be a part of that organization. Our most recent event was the Cottonwood Old Town Mission back to school program, which provided backpacks full of school supplies to hundreds of children in need. Not only did we purchase 400 pounds of supplies and raise several hundred dollars, we helped to set up the event and hand out the supplies. Last Saturday morning we gave out 750 supply filled back packs. Below is a picture of me along with several other agents at ...

Sedona in Motion Update

Mon, Jul 22nd 2019 3:35 pm by Wally Reule Miscellaneous

The Sedona in Motion Plan is a comprehensive initiative that has been exploring ways to alleviate traffic congestion. One of the suggestions was to extend Forest Road in Uptown to connect with State Route 89A just west of the post office. This connection would reduce traffic through the roundabouts at the Y and Brewer Road, thus taking some pressure off this bottleneck. The city was was considering three possible routes, and recently approved one. Construction should start after July 2020. Here is a link to the city website for details.

Short Term Rental Problems to be Discussed

Sat, Jul 20th 2019 5:16 pm by Wally Reule Events

On Wednesday, July 24, Arizona Representative Bob Thorpe will host a 3:00pm open meeting at Sedona City Hall to discuss the topic of short term rentals. Vacation rentals under 30 days were illegal in Sedona until the recent passage of SB1350, which denied the right of a local municipality to regulate the term of a rental. Of course, as always, there have been unintended or unforeseen consequences. If you feel like you have something to contribute to the conversation, or just want to know more about the subject, I encourage you to attend. He is a link to an article in the Red Rock News with more information. See you there!
